About Us

Valerie graduated from the University of Oregon, then received an MS degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pacific in 1990. She joined Tobias Physical Therapy in 1996. Valerie recently completed a Pilates rehabilitation certification through Polestar. Her professional experience has focused on general orthopedics and sports medicine with an emphasis on manual therapy and movement education. She also has experience with home health care. Valerie was a competitive soccer player throughout her college years; this along with her Pilates experience gives her great expertise in working with her active patients. She is very enthusiastic about improving the function and quality of patients’ lives through education, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband Steve and young son Alexander.
